Power Minister hands
over cheques of Rs. 33.5 crores to
PM’s Relief Fund

| The Central Public Sector Undertakings
under the Ministry of Power have made a contribution of Rs.
33.5 crore to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund
for flood relief in Bihar. The contribution made by the
respective Central Public Sector undertakings are:- |

1. National Thermal Power Corporation : Rs. 10 crore
2. Power Grid Corporation : Rs. 7 crore
3. Power Finance Corporation : Rs. 5 crore
4. National Hydroelectric Power Corporation : Rs. 2.5 crore
5. Rural Electrification Power Corporation : Rs. 2.5 crore
6. Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam : Rs. 2.5 crore
7. Damodar Valley Corporation : Rs. 2 crore
8. Tehri Hydro Development Corporation : Rs. 1 crore
9. North Eastern Electric Power Corporation : Rs. 1 crore
Cheques for the above amounts were handed over to the Prime
Minster by Shri Sushil Kumar Shinde Minister of Power in the
presence of Secretary Power and the CMDs of the above Central
Public Sector Undertakings on 03.09.08. More amounts will
follow.
